Okay here's the deal.

The lease on the house/studio is running out in October and my wife and I will be moving, probably in early-mid September. I'm not sure where the new space will be yet or exactly what it will look like but one thing is almost guaranteed: the rent will be higher, which means I'll have to put my prices up too 😵

After having stable pricing for the last couple of years, while the cost of living has skyrocketed, I'm calling this the "everything is going up sale", basically make your booking before October and it'll be my current, low rate of $400 a day for tracking and $200 per song for mixing, $40 per track for mastering. That's $600 all in for a single and I also love to cut deals for EP's and bigger projects, just message any time for a chat ✨

I'm eager to finish some great projects in the current El Capitano 1.0 and I'm excited for what the future holds 😁

Been making some huge sounds out of the humble home studio!
Recently had releases from The Big Illegals, Blackout Fun Club, Final Girls and Hugs. As well as plugging away at printing CD's

Mostly just have remote mixing and mastering work on at the moment so lots of free days for recording :D HMU, if you or your band wants to make some magic ✨💥

Been a huge and amazing year with some really cool projects completed. Going to take a few days off then get stuck into a few little upgrades/quality of life improvements for the studio to get hooked right back into it in January 💥

Hi there, I’m Samantha and in 2019 after about a decade of playing in local bands and running DIY recording sessions I opened El Capitano Records. Over the last 5 years and a move to a big, old house with high ceilings in Fairy Meadow (Wollongong) the studio has flourished into something truly special, a creative space for people from all walks of life. Working with various bands and solo artists to provide recording, mixing and mastering I’ve gained valued experience working across a wide array of genres from Rock, Punk and Metal to Folk, Pop and Hip-Hop. I just love music and am happy to work on anything, what more can I say!

The studio is equipped with all the gear you would need to complete your project from the first demo to the final master. I’ve got a healthy selection of Amps, Mics and a house drum kit (e-drums too if that’s your thing), as well as all the VST options your heart could desire to craft exactly what you hear in your head into a final product you can be proud of.

Speaking of pride, this is a firmly LGBTQ+ safe space. I’ve worked with many q***r and gender diverse folk and as a trans woman myself, I understand how important it is to feel comfortable in any creative space.
