Of course I decided to bring an event vision to life 2 weeks out from the event 🙃 and because finding a mirror wasn’t such an easy task, I lost a whole week waiting for it to arrive — it’s now under a week until the event and let’s just say, I was breaking out in hives when Amazon said there were delays in my delivery 🫠

BUT the mirror is here and I have it on good authority that the element should only take half an hour 😬

I get it, going out on a school night is less than ideal, especially at the end of term BUT also, what a perfect time to get out of the house before the school holiday madness if you can swing it 😉

The prompt cards I ordered for More Than A Mum Social Club’s first event have arrived 💃🪩

They’re bigger than I had envisioned BUT was also the only place I found that would print a set of cards with different prompts — all other printing places only did 100 prints of the same design.

Canva, please do smaller square prints, specifically an 8x8, kthanxbye 🫶

Now I’ll have reflection cards for our first event at 💃💃💃 bring on July 1st!

I want to ask you something and I want you to answer it honestly.

If your best friend came to you and said “there’s this event I really want to go to but I can’t justify spending $75 on myself right now” — what would you say to her?

Because I’m willing to bet it wouldn’t be “yeah you’re right, stay home.”

You’d tell her to book the ticket. You’d remind her that she spends $75 on everyone else without thinking twice and that it’s about time she did something just for herself.

So why are you not saying that to yourself right now?

But on a serious note, More Than A Mum Social Club is the perfect gateway for attending an event solo.

I know how nerve wracking and daunting it is because I spent my first year in Wollongong going to a lot of events solo but because I did that, I also know how much you can get out of an event when you’re not clinging to a friend.

2. Doing something for yourself, guilt free — no agenda, no one needing anything from you, just two and a half hours that are entirely yours.
