THE STREETS of Wonthaggi will echo to the notes of the Last Post and Reveille on Remembrance Day when it is hoped the town's historic P.A. system will burst into life courtesy of the Wonthaggi sub-branch of the RSL. After months of work the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month will be observed by the broadcast of the Last Post on the P.A. system before a minute silence to acknowledge, honour and remember those who have served our country. This will be followed by three short blasts from the State Coal Mine whistle in addition to the normal whistle blast at midday. Remembrance Day will be observed at the Wonthaggi Cenotaph from 10.30am.
