On December 16, 2009, at the White House, US President Barack Obama and NASA Director Charles Bolden discussed the prospects for the development of the US manned space program and the results of the work of the Augustin Commission[15]. On January 15, 2010, the Aerospace Safety Advisory Panel (ASAP) released its annual report recommending continued work on the Constellation program. The report stated that commercial companies have no experience in organizing manned space flights and do not meet the requirements for the safety of manned spacecraft[16][17].
