Everybody’s Favorite Target: The Orion Nebula (M42)! 🌌✨

It is hard to beat the sheer dynamic beauty of Orion. Here is the result from a recent single-night integration, blending multiple exposure times to keep the brilliant central Trapezium cluster sharp while pulling out the delicate, wispy dust surrounding the core and the neighboring Running Man Nebula.

This is just the baseline—I’ll be adding more data over the coming months as Orion climbs higher to push down the noise floor and pull out even deeper background structures!

Acquisition & Equipment Details:

Target: Messier 42 (Orion Nebula)

Total Integration: 2 Hours 48 Minutes (HDR Bracket: 15s, 60s & 300s subs)

Camera: ZWO ASI533MC Pro

Telescope: SVBONY SV545

Location: Starry Acres Observatory (Bortle 3/4)

Processing: Stacked in Astro Pixel Processor & finished in Photoshop

More integrations to come soon! 🔭

The Cat’s Paw & Lobster Nebulae in Wide-Field! 🐾🦞

Here is a 2-night integration on NGC 6334 (The Cat’s Paw Nebula, bottom left) and NGC 6357 (The Lobster Nebula, top right) located toward the constellation Scorpius.

Combining data across multiple sessions dropped the background noise floor, bringing out those subtle interstellar dust lanes weaving between the two emission regions along with the faint outer hydrogen-alpha structures.

Acquisition & Equipment Details:

Integration Time: 4.5 Hours total (60s sub-exposures)

Camera: ZWO ASI533MC Pro

Telescope: SVBONY SV545

Location: Starry Acres Observatory (Bortle 3/4)

Stacking two clean nights of data made a massive difference in signal-to-noise ratio, providing a much cleaner canvas for post-processing in Astro Pixel Processor.

Clear skies! 🌌✨

I was inspired by this Japanese person who was trained in Indian cuisine, started his own cafe and subsequently closed his business to focus on helping people with disabilities. He operates a kitchen on Saturdays and encourages people with disabilities to interact with the outside world.

Today's lunch is plant-based using whatever I have in the freezer and garden.
- Crispy Karaage-Style Frozen Tofu
- Masala Eggplant
- Purple Sweet Potato
- Snow Pea
- Miso Soup with Mizuna & Carrot
