I discovered these beautiful handmade Boomerang Bags today—and I absolutely love that they carry their very own Wynnum Manly Brisbane Bayside label!

Made by local volunteers using donated and recycled fabrics, every bag is unique, folds or rolls up easily and is perfect for keeping in your handbag or car.

And they’re only $6.95 each! What an absolute bargain for a handmade reusable bag that supports a wonderful community initiative and helps reduce plastic waste. 💚🌏

It’s not just a bag—it’s a little piece of our community helping to protect our planet.

The Jimboomba Festival 2026 is currently inviting:

🌸 Spring is almost here… and there’s no better place to enjoy it than right here in Wynnum, Manly and our beautiful Bayside. ☀️💙

Longer days. Morning walks by the water. Coffee with friends. Kids splashing at the Wading Pool. Pelicans wandering the foreshore. Fish and chips by the bay. Local markets. Picnics in the park. And those beautiful Bayside sunsets we never get tired of.

Spring is all about getting outdoors, supporting local and making memories with the people who matter most.

We’re lucky to call this place home. ❤️

If you live in Wynnum, Manly, Lota, Wynnum West, Manly West, Tingalpa, Hemmant or anywhere around Brisbane’s Bayside, where do you go for a thorough skin check?

Do you have a local doctor, dermatologist or skin-check clinic you trust and would genuinely recommend? Please tag them below and share your experience. 👇

The places pictured are simply a few local options I found through Google—I haven’t personally visited or recommended them. We would really love to hear from locals who have.

Sadly, many of us know someone who has been affected by melanoma or another form of skin cancer. If you’ve had a spot detected early or a skin check that made a difference, please share your story if you feel comfortable.
