Our classroom “Hello, Goodbye” window has become one of our favourite morning rituals 💛

I first discovered this sweet idea over at Storybook Village Preschool and knew my students would embrace it wholeheartedly! A simple frame, decorated with each child’s wooden heart, creates a special moment for children to wave goodbye to their families, helping make those morning transitions feel safe, predictable, and full of connection.

Watching their little faces as they stand on the chair, farewelling siblings, parents and grandparents with blown kisses, love-heart hands and excited waves is truly something else 🥹 Sometimes the smallest routines make the biggest difference.

Our light panel just got an upgrade! ✨ These inexpensive blocks and clear base plates from Temu were trimmed to fit perfectly on top and have instantly become a captivating, new building invitation. The gang have been loving the fresh challenge and endless construction possibilities 🧱Highly recommend giving it a try with your littles!

Fine motor development is a big priority in my class. As well as having many incidental ways that this is explored through play and provocations, we also have a dedicated time-slot each week where students work in four groups consisting of 4-5 students to particularly hone these skills 🌿 These were our first four rotations in Term 1.
