Did you know this exists? 👀
If you’re a parent or carer of a child under 6, you may be eligible for Parent Pathways — a free, voluntary Australian Government program designed to help parents work towards their own work, study or training goals.
And here’s the part we reckon more parents should know about…
Eligible participants can access an Individual Fund of up to $1,250 a year to help with approved costs related to their goals. 💰
That could include things like training, study costs, technology, transport, getting a driver’s licence or work-related training.
It’s not a $1,250 cash payment, and eligibility requirements apply — but if you have a little one and you're thinking about what comes next for you, it’s definitely worth knowing about.

Can we talk digital calendars for a moment please?
I'd desperately love to be more organised and share the mental load across the family rather than being the chief organiser and rememberer or all of the things!
Do you have one? Are they really as good as they sound?
Some of them are quite pricey, but I've seen one at BigW for just $179 and I'm wondering if it's worth spending the money on or not.

If you're looking for a screen-free activity that'll actually hold your child's attention, we might have found it — so we put it to the test!
Michael built the T-Rex from the Dino's Trio set with our 2.5 year old "helping." It took about 30 minutes, which lines up with exactly what CoolThings Australia says it should take. No glue, no mess — the pieces are all numbered so there was zero confusion about what went where.
The best surprise was how sturdy It was when it was finished. We painted ours instead of leaving it plain cardboard (it took the paint beautifully, would 100% recommend), and it's survived a solid amount of toddler handling since without falling apart.
An important thing to note though is that it isn't suitable for young child to do alone due to small pieces and dowels, so this is very much a "sit down and do it together" activity, not a hand-it-to-them-and-walk-away one.
Would recommend. Great for Dino-obsessed preschoolers with a grown-up alongside them, or older kids and adults who want to fly solo. And once it's built, it makes a genuinely great little shelf display (or, in our house, a prop for an imaginary tea party).
