Kindred Studios now has a Defibrillator (AED) on site thanks to the Inner West Community Enterprises & Community Bank Seddon! This team does great work raising funds for the local community and initiatives like this one. Special thanks to Ashley Coles and Suzanne Saunders from Bendigo Bank & Mel from at Rise Training!! The defib will be registered on the state wide database for publicly accessible AED’s ❤️‍🩹

We are Kindred

Kindred is a purpose-built space for creative individuals and organisations in Yarraville, Melbourne. We accommodate musicians, bands, photographers, designers, dancers, actors, artists, entrepreneurs, daring freelancers and more.

We’ve got band rehearsal rooms, co-working spaces, private studio suites, a recording studio, a film and photography studio, a dance and yoga studio, theatre stage, cafe, bandroom and function spaces available for hire. We’re also home to Victoria University and Victoria University Polytechnic’s music programs and many dance and music schools who run their classes out of our studios.

First opened in 2005, we’ve always been privately owned and operated by artists. This could be why Lonely Planet listed us in their Top Ten Workspaces in The World in 2016. More recently, we were awarded the Maribyrnong City Council 2019 Civic Award – Arts Organisation.
