Melbourne's been named the world's best city in 2026 by Time Out, the first time an Australian city has taken out the top spot, based on 44 different criteria including food, nightlife, culture to affordability, and overall city vibe.

Sydney also made the list at number 21, with Adelaide coming in at number 29.
