In 2012, Amigoe Aruba started a new, fun and innovative project named “Amigoe op School”. ‘Amigoe at school’ is a Dutch newspaper, printed in a tabloid format and that focuses on students between the ages of 9 and 18 years. The edition is a collaboration with students from different high schools and teachers in Dutch, Economics and Social studies classes. This way teachers have topical teaching materials that can encourage reading habits amongst the young and ultimately that can help them with their reading comprehension.
