Here’s what you’ll need:
🛒 Ingredients
• 4 roast beef minute steaks (about 600g total) (Bonus Specials)
• 1 bag Jumbo Vlaamse frites (1 kg, frozen) (Bonus Specials)
• 1 seedless cucumber, thinly sliced (Bonus Specials)
• 1 pint sweet grape tomatoes, halved (Bonus Specials)
• 1 red onion, thinly sliced
• A handful of fresh arugula or lettuce mix
• 2 tbsp olive oil
• 1 tsp garlic powder
• 1 tsp paprika or steak seasoning
• Salt & pepper to taste
• 1 tbsp butter
• Optional: grated Parmesan cheese or a drizzle of balsamic glaze
👩🍳 Directions
1. Bake the Fries:
Preheat your oven to 220°C. Spread the Jumbo Vlaamse frites on a baking tray and bake until golden and crispy (about 20–25 minutes). Sprinkle lightly with salt once done.
2. Make the Salad:
In a bowl, combine the seedless cucumber, grape tomatoes, red onion, and arugula. Toss with olive oil, a dash of salt, pepper, and a drizzle of balsamic glaze or lemon juice for brightness.
3. Cook the Steak:
Heat a grill pan or skillet over medium-high heat. Season the minute steaks with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Add butter to the pan and cook each steak for 1–2 minutes per side until nicely seared and juicy. Let rest for a few minutes before serving.
4. Plate It Up:
Arrange each plate with a portion of crispy fries, a juicy steak, and a fresh side of cucumber-tomato salad. Add a sprinkle of Parmesan or extra drizzle of balsamic glaze for a finishing touch.
