Accountability post! Since the new year I have gotten some momentum back. I’m at over 12% completion of my manuscript draft 😋💙

In an attempt to hold myself accountable and tackle this goal, I’m posting to celebrate a milestone! Today I hit 5,000 words (and counting, the day isn’t over yet 😊) in my first draft of my manuscript for a new novel that I am writing. I’m about 7% of the way there with my word count goal of 70,000.

With a ton of work travel coming up this week, I’m hoping that my time away from home will force me to focus my off-time creatively. I think I can double this word count in the next month!

I’ve reverse engineered this by writing my query letter already. Now I need to make this story exactly how I picture it. I hope I’ll be able to share it with you all someday soon.

No one is stopping me but myself. Time to grind!

Don’t be afraid to fail 💙🐕📘

Fear is a powerful thing… you can either live with it or choose to overcome it. After two previous near-drowning experiences, I hated going underwater. Scuba diving has helped me regain control AND learn something new!

Hoping this first story will inspire a future generation of divers. Can’t wait to share it with you! 🤿🐠📘
