We are in the process of pre-production
of the new album of the great Miguel Phillips,
recorded by worldbeat records and produced by Ivan Barrera A.K.A Caleto;
Phillips was a member of the German band
Goombay Dance Band,
Miguel was born on the island of Aruba
and later traveled to Europe where he joined
the Goombay Dance Band as a dancer and backing vocalist.
The band released the song "Sun of Jamaica" at the end of 1979.
It topped the German singles charts for nine weeks in 1980 and
has sold 11 million copies.
Miguel recorded several albums for Emi electrola, CBS,
he was also a member of the renowned
African band Dube,
currently living in his native island Aruba,
after touring for decades in different countries in Europe,
it is worth noting that Miguel is part of the Phillips dynasty
who are renowned musicians in Aruba such as Claudius Phillips, Tedy Phillips and others.
