Türkiye's Ambassador to Azerbaijan visits APA Media Group

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Türkiye to Azerbaijan, Birol Akgün, visited APA Media Group.

During the meeting, cooperation opportunities in the media sector and joint information initiatives between Azerbaijan and Türkiye were discussed.

Vusala Mahirgizi, APA Media Group Director General, provided Ambassador Birol Akgün with detailed information about the media organization’s activities, structure, and its affiliated news platforms.

Vusala Mahirgizi also shared views on cooperation possibilities between the media organizations of both countries across various platforms, emphasizing the benefits of mutual experience exchange.

In turn, Ambassador Birol Akgün emphasized that Azerbaijani-Turkish relations hold strategic importance in all areas, including media and information exchange.

The diplomat stated that close contacts, experience sharing, and information exchange between the media organizations of both countries are of special importance for safeguarding common interests in regional and international information policies.

The ambassador added that coordinated media efforts, joint initiatives, and the objective and timely dissemination of information are key pillars of the strategic partnership between the two brotherly countries.

Discussions also covered combating disinformation and future cooperation mechanisms against the backdrop of ongoing regional and global developments.

🇮🇱🇮🇷Defense Minister Israel Katz issues a threat to Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, just over a month after a ceasefire ended the 12-day Iran-Israel war, APA reports citing Times of Israel.

“I want to convey a clear message to Khamenei the dictator,” says Katz in a visit to the Ramon Airbase in southern Israel, according to his office. “If you continue to threaten Israel, our long arm will again reach Tehran and with even greater force — and this time to you personally. “Unfortunately, some leading European media outlets, including the German press, are conducting targeted propaganda against Azerbaijan. If we look at the new realities, the Trump Administration has discovered that USAID, together with the previous Administration, carried out numerous covert operations,” Hikmat Hajiyev, Assistant of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Head of Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration, said in an interview with the German publication Berliner Zeitung, APA reports.

He said that USAID has never been involved in humanitarian activities in the South Caucasus:
“They financed a number of media outlets in the region and instructed these media outlets to cover the events in Azerbaijan in a negative light. Now, on the contrary, we are witnessing the publication of fewer negative articles about Azerbaijan. Because there are no more people like the former head of USAID, Samantha Power. She hated Azerbaijan and its people at a genetic level.”

"Russia's military-industrial enterprises, logistics and airports should feel the real effects of the war this country has launched.", said Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky while commenting on the strikes carried out by drones on his country's territory at night, APAreports.

He added that the actions committed by the Russian side cannot go unanswered:

"These strikes cannot go unanswered. The precise response measures taken by our drones are one of the three arguments that will bring peace closer."

It should be noted that last night, Russia launched a total of 235 strikes with UAVs and missiles on the Dnieper region. 200 of them were neutralized.

Trump dismisses Macron's plan to recognize Palestinian state

U.S. President Donald Trump on Friday dismissed French President Emmanuel Macron's plan to recognize a Palestinian state at the United Nations General Assembly in September, APA reports citing Reuters.

"What he says doesn't matter," Trump told reporters at the White House. "He's a very good guy. I like him, but that statement doesn't carry weight."

Recall that Emmanuel Macron announced that France will officially recognize the state of Palestine at the UN General Assembly to be held in September.

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio noted that the United States does not support France's intention to recognize the state of Palestine.
