💡 This remarkable case presents a 64-year-old male patient who maintained stable renal allograft function without immunosuppressive therapy following allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (alloHSCT). The case highlights the complex interplay between transplantation tolerance and infection risk, offering valuable insights for future clinical approaches.
⚕️ The study emphasizes that immunosuppressive-free renal graft survival is possible, but requires careful patient selection, personalized conditioning regimens, and vigilant infection control.

☤ Multimodal Anesthesia-Analgesia for Patients with Huntington’s Disease: A Case Series

Authors: Georgios Papastratigakis, Maria Christofaki, Alexandra Papaioannou

🏥 Department of Anesthesiology, University Hospital of Heraklion, Heraklion, Crete, Greece; School of Medicine, University of Crete, Heraklion, Crete, Greece

✨ This case series presents the successful use of modern, opioid-sparing, multimodal
anesthetic-analgesic strategies in managing patients with Huntington’s disease undergoing
major surgery. Even without the advantages of locoregional anesthesia, the study
demonstrates how effective and safe multimodal approaches can be in reducing opioid use
and postoperative complications.
👉 These findings highlight the potential for individualized, advanced anesthesia techniques
in complex neurological conditions.
