In a first-ever result for PIF, the Premio category of PIF Castelfidardo ended with a First Equal for Emanuele Viti (Italy) and Luca Bello (Italy), Flemming Valdmundson (Iceland) finishing 3rd. Each finalist performed “ForEverPIF” by Cesare Chiacchiaretta with the Solisti Aquilani Orchestra under conductor Luigi Alfredo Cornacchia.

The 2025 Premio Internazionale della Fisarmonica (PIF Castelfidardo) in Castelfidardo took place from September 10–14, marking the festival’s 50th anniversary. Held in Castelfidardo, Italy, the event featured a prestigious competition for soloists and ensembles, alongside concerts by international artists, under the artistic direction of Antonio Spaccarotella.

Two festivals are being hosted in October that have been organised by past Coupe Mondiale winners Leo Florin and Radu Ratoi - Accordion

The 3rd Kammerton Accordion Festival will feature concerts at the Stockholm Concert Hall and the Queen Silvia Concert Hall in Norrmalm, Stockholm (Sweden), from October 2–5, 2025, organised by Leo Florin.

Concerts will feature Mirco Patarini, Radu Ratoi, Julien Beautemps, Luca Bello, MoldoDuo & Lars Karlsson

The inaugural “Moldova Accordion Days” in Chișinău, Moldova, organised by Radu Ratoi, will take place October 23–28, 2025, and will feature competitions, concerts with internationally renowned artists, and masterclasses from Radu Ratoi, Mirzac Sergiu, Vladimir Murza & Simone Zanchini Accordion

ForEverPIF by Cesare Chiacchiaretta was commissioned by PIF Castelfidardo for the final round test piece of the PREMIO Category. The work will be premiered by the three finalists with the Orchestra Filarmonica di Calabria for the final round of the PREMIO Category at 4pm Sunday September 14th 2025 at the Teatro Astra, Castelfidardo, Italy.

The 14th World Music Festival brought together over 160 ensembles and thousands of accordion and harmonica enthusiasts from around the globe to celebrate music, passion, and connection in beautiful Innsbruck, Austria!

This year's event included the “Tag der Harmonika” (Day of the Accordion) for the first time — a special collaboration between Germany’s DHV and Austria’s HVÖ that made the festival even more diverse and dynamic. 🪗❤️
