🧬 New Research Published in Genetics & Applications

We are delighted to announce a new publication led by researchers from the International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB), offering fresh insight into the role of TAR DNA-binding protein 43 (TDP-43) in neurodegeneration.

TDP-43 is a key RNA/DNA-binding protein implicated in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and frontotemporal lobar degeneration (FTLD). While ALS has traditionally been considered a motor neuron-specific disorder, increasing evidence highlights the involvement of astrocytes and glial biology in disease development and progression.
