Congratulations Hilary, Miss Universe Barbados!

The New Miss Universe Barbados

Crown Events Inc. officially congratulates Shanel Ifill on signing with a major London-based talent agency to pursue a professional career in modelling.

Ifill, 20, was crowned Miss Universe Barbados 2019 on Sept. 7th 2019, and she was a fan and media favourite as she competed at Miss Universe in Atlanta, Georgia. Along the way, she took full advantage of modelling opportunities that came through her title, which included, gracing the cover of Living Barbados, a feature image in Elle UK with Suga Apple Swim, and being photographed by the legendary Fadil Berisha. She also worked with the amazingly talented team of photographer Charlton Inije, makeup artist Japan and hair stylist Derek J in Atlanta, for a shoot to be published internationally.

Shanel officially relinquished her title as Miss Universe Barbados 2019 to pursue these amazing opportunities. We are very excited for all that the future holds for Shanel, as we cheer her on her journey.

In accordance with the guidelines set out by the Miss Universe Organisation, it means we must now crown a new titleholder to complete the next 7 months of the reign. The Miss Universe Organization requires that the successor Queen not wish to compete for the title in the future and be willing to take up the full mantle of the Crown. We ask Barbados to join us in whole-heartedly welcoming Miss Hillary Ann Williams, who also was the overwhelming winner of the People’s Choice, into the exclusive fold of Miss Universe Barbados title holders. Hillary will perform all of the duties, and enjoy the many privileges that come with being the reigning Queen. We at Crown Events Inc., along with our dedicated sponsors, are excited to begin working with Hillary and look forward to assisting her in crafting a reign full of incredible experiences.

CAN'T COOK CREW BURNING QUESTION OF THE DAY- PT. 3- MACARONI PIE

Listen- this pic (& all the others posted by the Can't Cook Crew) are from Google- because we are too ashamed to post pics of our own creations (aka food). How do we do macaroni pie without a- burning it 2- making soup instead and 3- having a crispy texture- like a big cheesy cookie? We tried everything but just could not get it right. One of us thought he had it all figured out and put the macaroni in the water in the dish in the oven for an hour. Let's not discuss how that turned out- please help us- How do we make a top-notch macaroni pie fit for human consumption?

CAN'T COOK CREW BURNING QUESTION OF THE DAY- PT. 2- STIR FRIED RICE

So we can't figure this out... how do we do stir fried rice? One of us is arguing that the rice should be soaked & then put in the frying pan to boil until it starts frying. Another is saying we should cook the rice first then fry it & stir it, then put in all the spices etc then boil it. Do you know how it should be done? And the next thing- how do we know when it's actually done?

In an effort to prevent the burning of pots, pans & kitchens across Barbados- we introduce you to The Can't Cook Crew. They need your help. Staff members at Trident 10 TV- these guys REALLY CANNOT COOK! So if you're a kitchen midas- share a bit of your knowledge with us- help our nation- food is being spoilt & thrown away because no one will eat it. People are getting upset stomachs. Our hospitals cannot handle the extra burden. This is your opportunity to save our nation- even in a small way. Please give us your advice in the comments each day when we post our questions- we need you.

BURNING QUESTION OF THE DAY- WHEN BAKING CHICKEN-

How should we prepare the chicken? Do we put the lime & salt on & then put the chicken in a pot & boil it then push it in the oven? Or do we have to season it & put the chicken in the oven without boiling it? Can we take the chicken from the freezer & put it in the oven to thaw out & leave it until it's brown one time & then put on the lime & salt & ketchup after? HELP US! (This chicken did not make it- save the others).
