চলতি বছরের ডিসেম্বরেই বাংলাদেশে জাতীয় নির্বাচন অনুষ্ঠিত হতে পারে, তবে ২০২৬ সালের জুনের পরে নয়—এমন মন্তব্য করেছেন প্রধান উপদেষ্টা ড. মুহাম্মদ ইউনূস। আন্তর্জাতিক খ্যাতিসম্পন্ন সাময়িকী দ্য ইকোনমিস্ট-এ প্রকাশিত এক সাক্ষাৎকারে তিনি এ মন্তব্য করেন।

ড. ইউনূস স্পষ্ট করে জানান, তিনি ব্যক্তিগতভাবে নির্বাচনে অংশ নেবেন না। তবে অন্তর্বর্তী সরকারের অধীনে অর্থনীতি ও রাজনীতিতে ভারসাম্য বজায় রাখার চেষ্টা চলছে। তিনি বলেন, “মূল্যস্ফীতি ও ব্যাংক খাত স্থিতিশীল রাখতে সক্ষম হলেও অর্থনৈতিক প্রবৃদ্ধি দুর্বল। বিপ্লবের নয় মাস পরও কাঙ্ক্ষিত পরিবর্তন আনা সম্ভব হয়নি।”

আসন্ন নির্বাচনের পথ সুগম করতে ‘জুলাই সনদ’ নামে একটি ঐকমত্য ভিত্তিক দলিল প্রণয়ন করা হবে, যা রাজনৈতিক দলগুলোর সঙ্গে আলোচনার মাধ্যমে তৈরি হবে বলে জানান ইউনূস। তবে তিনি স্বীকার করেন, “একমত হওয়া সহজ বিষয় নয়। কমিশন গঠনের ক্ষেত্রেই মতপার্থক্য রয়েছে।”

বিশেষ করে নারী সংস্কার কমিশন নিয়ে ব্যাপক বিতর্ক তৈরি হয়েছে। কমিশনটি ইসলামী উত্তরাধিকার আইনে নারীর অধিকারের সুপারিশ করলে ইসলামপন্থী দলগুলো তীব্র বিক্ষোভ শুরু করে। এছাড়া কেউ কেউ তৈরি পোশাক বা শিক্ষা খাতকে যথাযথ গুরুত্ব না দেওয়ার অভিযোগ তুলেছেন।

আওয়ামী লীগের প্রসঙ্গে ড. ইউনূস বলেন, “১২ মে নির্বাচন কমিশন দলটির নিবন্ধন স্থগিত করেছে। ফলে দলটি এই নির্বাচনে অংশ নিতে পারবে না।”

এই পরিস্থিতিতে দেশের রাজনৈতিক ভবিষ্যৎ নিয়ে নানা ধরনের জল্পনা-কল্পনা শুরু হয়েছে। তবে ড. ইউনূসের আশাবাদ—“নতুন বাংলাদেশ গঠনে আমরা শেষ পর্যন্ত ঐক্যমতে পৌঁছাতে পারব।”

আলোচিত কনটেন্ট ক্রিয়েটর ও চারবারের সংসদ নির্বাচনপ্রার্থী আশরাফুল হোসেন আলম ওরফে হিরো আলম জানিয়ে দিলেন—
🔚 রাজনীতির ইতি টানছেন তিনি।

🗣️ শনিবার (১৭ মে) নারায়ণগঞ্জের সোনারগাঁয়ে একটি সেলুন উদ্বোধনী অনুষ্ঠানে হিরো আলম বলেন—

“বর্তমান পরিস্থিতিতে নির্বাচন করা সম্ভব না।
আমি রাজনীতি থেকে চলে আসছি। আর কখনো ফিরে আসব না।”

🎤 আরও বলেন—

“যে দেশের জনগণের জন্য আন্দোলন করলাম, সংগ্রাম করলাম, তারা ৫টা ভালো কাজ ভুলে একটাতে ধিক্কার দেয়। মানুষের লাঞ্চনা, মাইর ছাড়া আর কিছুই পাইনি।”
“আদালতের কাছেও ন্যায্যতা পাইনি। আমি মিডিয়ার মানুষ, মিডিয়াতেই থাকতে চাই।”

জনগণের নেতিবাচক মনোভাব

আইনি লড়াইয়েও হতাশা

দেশের রাজনৈতিক অস্থিরতা

🎬 হিরো আলম জানান, সামনে অনেক কাজের পরিকল্পনা আছে মিডিয়া ঘিরে।

“কোনো ব্যবসা ছোট না, স্বপ্ন দেখে কাজ করলে সফলতা একদিন আসবেই।”

ঢাকা: রাজধানীর বিভিন্ন স্থানে ঝটিকা মিছিল করায় নিষিদ্ধ ছাত্রলীগ ও বিভিন্ন মামলার এজাহারনামীয় আওয়ামী লীগের অঙ্গসংগঠনের ৯ সদস্যকে গ্রেফতার করেছে ডিএমপির গোয়েন্দা পুলিশ (ডিবি)।

সোমবার (২১ এপ্রিল) ঢাকা মেট্রোপলিটন পুলিশের (ডিএমপি) মিডিয়া অ্যান্ড পাবলিক রিলেশন্স বিভাগের উপ-পুলিশ কমিশনার মুহাম্মদ তালেবুর রহমান এ তথ্য জানিয়েছেন।

গ্রেফতারকৃতরা হলেন- নিষিদ্ধ ঘোষিত সংগঠন ছাত্রলীগের বংশাল থানা ৩৩নং ওয়ার্ডের সাধারণ সম্পাদক মো. বাপ্পি (৩০), আওয়ামী লীগের দক্ষিণ বাড্ডা বাজার ইউনিটের সহ-সভাপতি মো. মহিবুর রহমান (৫০), কুমিল্লার মনোহরগঞ্জ থানার আওয়ামী লীগের যুগ্ম সাধারণ সম্পাদক আবুল কালাম আজাদ (৪৭), বংশাল থানা ৩২নং ওয়ার্ড আওয়ামী লীগের সহ-সভাপতি বাবু আহাম্মেদ (৫৫), ২২নং ওয়ার্ড আওয়ামী লীগের সাবেক সভাপতি আব্দুল খালেক (৫৫), কলাবাগান থানা বঙ্গবন্ধু পরিষদের সাধারণ সম্পাদক মো. কবির হোসেন (৪৮), ছাত্রলীগের ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় জগন্নাথ হল শাখার নাট্য ও বিতর্ক বিষয়ক সম্পাদক দীপম সাহা (২৬), ছাত্রলীগের ডেমরা শাখার সাবেক সাধারণ সম্পাদক কাজী ইসমাইল হোসেন (৪২) ও ছাত্রলীগ কর্মী মো. মুহতাসিন ফুয়াদ ওরফে পিয়াল।

তালেবুর রহমান জানান, রোববার (২০ এপ্রিল) সকাল ১১টায় মো. বাপ্পিকে নবাবপুর এলাকা থেকে গ্ৰেফতার করে ডিবি-লালবাগ বিভাগের একটি টিম। সন্ধ্যা ৬টায় রাজধানীর বেরাইদ এলাকা থেকে মো. মহিবুর রহমানকে গ্রেফতার করে ডিবি-গুলশান বিভাগের একটি টিম। এদিন বিকেল ৩টায় রমনার জনস্বাস্থ্য প্রকৌশল ভবনের সামনে থেকে আবুল কালাম আজাদকে গ্রেফতার করে ডিবি-সাইবার অ্যান্ড স্পেশাল ক্রাইমের একটি টিম। একইদিন রাত ১১টায় ডিবি-লালবাগ বিভাগের একটি টিম বংশাল এলাকা হতে বাবু আহাম্মেদকে গ্ৰেফতার করে।

তিনি জানান, একইদিন রাত ১০টায় মগবাজার এলাকায় অভিযান পরিচালনা করে আব্দুল খালেককে এবং রাত সাড়ে ১১টায় রাজধানীর হাতিরপুল হতে মো. কবির হোসেনকে গ্রেফতার করে ডিবি-রমনা বিভাগের পৃথক টিম। এছাড়া রাতে রাজধানীর মাতুয়াইল এলাকা হতে কাজী ইসমাইল হোসেনকে গ্রেফতার করে ডিবি-ওয়ারী বিভাগের একটি টিম। তিনি যাত্রাবাড়ী এলাকায় ঝটিকা মিছিলে অংশগ্রহণ করেছিল বলে স্বীকার করেছেন। আর রোববার রাত পৌনে ২টায় দীপম সাহাকে তেজগাঁও এলাকা হতে এবং ভোররাত ৩টার দিকে আদাবরের একটি বাসায় অভিযান চালিয়ে ছাত্রলীগ কর্মী মো. মুহতাসিন ফুয়াদ ওরফে পিয়ালকে গ্রেফতার করে ডিবি-সাইবারের পৃথক টিম।

ডিসি তালেবুর রহমান জানান, গ্রেফতারকৃতরা রাজধানীর বিভিন্ন থানায় দায়েরকৃত মামলার আসামি। তারা দেশকে অস্থিতিশীল করার অপচেষ্টায় লিপ্ত। নানাভাবে সংঘবদ্ধ হয়ে তারা রাজধানীর বিভিন্ন স্থানে ঝটিকা মিছিলে অংশগ্রহণের মাধ্যমে জনমনে আতঙ্ক সৃষ্টি করার চেষ্টা করেছে। গ্রেফতারকৃতদের বিরুদ্ধে আইনানুগ ব্যবস্থা গ্রহণ প্রক্রিয়াধীন।

আজ ১৬ মে ঐতিহাসিক ফারাক্কা লংমার্চ দিবস।

ভারতীয় পানি আগ্রাসনের প্রতিবাদে মজলুম জননেতা মওলানা আবদুল হামিদ খান ভাসানীর নেতৃত্বে ১৯৭৬ সালের এই দিনে রাজশাহীর মাদরাসা ময়দান থেকে মারণবাঁধ ফারাক্কা অভিমুখে লাখো মানুষের লংমার্চ অনুষ্ঠিত হয়।

ভারতবিরোধী নানা স্লোগানে মুখরিত লাখো মানুষের স্রোতে মজলুম জননেতা মওলানা ভাসানী তার জ্বালাময়ী ভাষণে ভারতের উদ্দেশে বলেন, "তাদের জানা উচিত বাংলার মানুষ এক আল্লাহকে ছাড়া আর কাউকে ভয় পায় না। কারো হুমকিকে পরোয়া করে না। আজ যে ইতিহাস শুরু হয়েছে তা অন্যায়ের বিরুদ্ধে রুখে দাঁড়ানোর নতুন অধ্যায়ের সৃষ্টি করবে।"
