মিয়ানমারের অভ্যন্তরে দীর্ঘ বেশ কয়েকদিন ধরে বিদ্রোহীদের মধ্যে চলছে দিপাক্ষিক সংঘর্ষ, এই সংঘর্ষে সবচাইতে ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত হচ্ছে স্থানীয়রা, মিয়ানমারের কয়েকটি সংবাদ মাধ্যমের বরাতে এ সংঘাত দীর্ঘায়িত হলে নতুন করে বাংলাদেশে প্রবেশ করতে পারে শরণার্থীরা। এর প্রভাব যেন বাংলাদেশের অভ্যন্তরে না পড়ে সর্বোচ্চ সতর্ক অবস্থায় রয়েছে বিজিবি, অন্যদিকে মাদক'চোরাচালান প্রতিরোধে বিজিবি পক্ষ থেকে সীমান্ত এলাকায় টাঙ্গানো হচ্ছে বেনার ফেস্টুন
