Israel’s Security Cabinet has approved a controversial plan to take control of Gaza City, in the northern part of the enclave.Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office announced the plan on Friday.

Headquartered not too far from the outskirts of London lies the office of an international humanitarian NGO that has assisted thousands affected by armed conflict, natural disasters, and extreme poverty across more than 54 countries.

The NGO, known as Khalsa Aid, now operates on five different continents and was founded by Malaysian-born Ravinder (Ravi) Singh in 1999.

Ravi, who was born in Johor Bahru, eventually grew up in India and the United Kingdom, where he established the organisation based on the core Sikh principle of “Sarbat da Bhalla”, which recognises the human race as one, and aims to serve humanity for the goodness of all.

[KiniNews] Bersatu information chief Tun Faisal Ismail Aziz has accused the MACC of mischaracterising party president Muhyiddin Yassin’s role in an ongoing investigation implicating him in a statement related to targeted RON95 subsidies.

Insisting that the Perikatan Nasional chairperson is the victim in the case, Tun Faisal rejected MCMC’s classification of Muhyiddin as a “witness” and instead pinned the blame on Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.

Yesterday, MCMC said Muhyiddin was being probed as a witness, not a suspect, as part of its investigation to verify facts surrounding the case.

Meanwhile, in a separate story, Lawyers for Liberty co-founder Latheefa Koya has urged politicians to stop what she described as a “flag hysteria” over an upside-down national flag recently flown at a Chinese school in Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan.

Insisting that the incident was an unintentional mistake that has been blown out of proportion, she accused political leaders of exploiting the matter to score patriotic points while victimising innocent parties.
