"Jardin des Plantes is one of the ten major parks of Nantes, France. It’s a seven-hectare botanical garden with 10,000 different species and 5,000 distinct blooms.
Poussin Endormi, which translates to “sleepy chick,” depicts a massive newborn bird resting comfortably in the center of the lovely landscape. The sculpture was part of the garden’s 2014 show and was designed by Claude Ponti, a French children’s book author and artist. The lovely tiny bird has gorgeous bamboo legs and a dazzling yellow beak. And the highlight is the chick’s tired eyelids accentuated with lashes! Scroll down to check them out. "
