Edited to add:
This is a pool they haven't used in quite a while, ever since we got our oak trees cut back and I don't know if they feel more exposed or if the pool just gets too hot under direct sun.
I've been letting native tadpoles grow in there, so at least it gets some use, and i've had an air bubbler in there 24/7 keep the water oxygenated (less chance for bad stuff to grow). Is it possible that the giant-ass cuban tree frog died of natural causes while swimming in this pool? Yes. Is it a chance I'm willing to take? No. 🤷‍♀️ I will ALWAYS take the safest route when it comes to my ducks.
*All tadpoles have been captured and are living in a bucket out front, away from the ducks.
