UPDATE: Closure will extend through Friday, November 3.

Beginning today, October 16, the Mariposa Grove Road will be closed through October 27 for repairs due to damage from storms last winter.

The only access to the Mariposa Grove during the road closure will be on foot via the Washburn Trail. This trail is 2 miles one-way with approximately 500 feet of elevation gain. There will be no shuttle service or bike access to the Mariposa Grove during the closure.

หลังเกิดเหตุไม่คาดคิดกับการลอบยิงอดีตนายกรัฐมนตรีของญี่ปุ่น Shinzo Abe เริ่มมีการพูดคุยเกี่ยวกับผลกระทบต่อนโยบายของธนาคารกลางญี่ปุ่น (BOJ) และมีสัญญาณว่านักลงทุนวิ่งเข้าหาสินทรัพย์ปลอดภัย โดยค่าเงินเยนแข็งค่าขึ้น 0.5% เทียบกับค่าเงินดอลลาร์ หลังจากเกิดเหตุดังกล่าว

นักวิเคราะห์จาก Matsui Securities มองว่า ค่าเงินเยนมีโอกาสแข็งค่าต่อ หลังจากที่อ่อนค่ามาต่อเนื่องก่อนเกิดเหตุการณ์นี้ และตลาดหุ้นอาจจะปรับตัวลดลงได้ โดยวันนี้ ตลาดหุ้นญี่ปุ่นยังปิดในแดนบวก แต่ปรับลดช่วงบวกลงจากตอนเปิดตลาด ดัชนี Nikkei 225 ปิดตลาดที่ +0.10 %

ด้วยความที่ Abe เป็นที่รู้จักในต่างประเทศสูงกว่านายกรัฐมนตรีคนปัจจุบันอย่าง Fumio Kishida ทำให้มีการคาดการณ์ว่าผลกระทบต่อตลาดการเงินยังไม่จบลง และอาจผันผวนขึ้น หลังจากที่ตลาดลอนดอนเปิดทำการ

นอกจากนี้ Abe ยังมีภาพลักษณ์ในเชิงบวกต่อนักลงทุนต่างชาติ เหตุการณ์นี้มีโอกาสก่อให้เกิดผลเชิงลบต่อตลาดได้ หากมีการมองว่ามุมมองของรัฐบาลญี่ปุ่นต่อ BOJ อาจจะเปลี่ยนไป และหากนายก Kishida เดินหน้าผลักดันนโยบายที่ตัวเองต้องการ เช่น การเก็บ capital-gain tax รวมถึงนโยบายเกี่ยวกับการซื้อหุ้นคืน ซึ่งไม่เป็นผลดีต่อตลาด

เหตุการณ์ที่เกิดขึ้น มีโอกาสส่งผลต่อตลาดหุ้นกู้ของญี่ปุ่นได้เช่นกัน ก่อนหน้านี้ ตลาดมองว่า BOJ จะยังใช้นโยบายการเงินที่ผ่อนคลายต่อไป แต่เหตุการณ์ที่เกิดขึ้น ทำให้บางส่วนเริ่มมองว่า BOJ จะใช้นโยบายที่หลากหลายขึ้นกว่าเดิม ซึ่งส่งความเสี่ยงเกี่ยวกับนโยบายการเงินและอัตราดอกเบี้ย อาจจะทำให้มูลค่าการซื้อขายในตลาดหุ้นกู้ญี่ปุ่นลดลงได้ รวมถึงมีส่วนต่าง (spread) ที่เพิ่มขึ้น

นักวิเคราะห์จาก Saison Asset Management มองว่าเหตุการณ์ดังกล่าวอาจจะมีผลต่อนโยบายของธนาคารกลางญี่ปุ่น BOJ โดย Shinzo Abe เป็นบุคคลที่ให้การสนับสนุนนโยบายการเงินแบบผ่อนคลายของ BOJ มาตลอด

อย่างไรก็ตาม การที่ปัจจุบัน Abe ไม่ได้ดำรงตำแหน่งนายกรัฐมนตรีแล้ว ผลที่เกิดขึ้นน่าจะเป็นเพียงระยะสั้น และมีโอกาสที่จะไม่กระทบต่อตลาดในระยะยาว

โดยญี่ปุ่นจะมีการเลือกตั้งวุฒิสมาชิกในวันอาทิตย์ที่ 10 ก.ค. 2565
