Karnaphuli tunnel is being constructed in Chittagong
Karnaphuli tunnel is built on Karnaphuli river.
Karnaphuli Tunnel Construction Commenced - 24th February, 2019. On October 14, 2016, Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Xi Jinping laid the foundation stone for the project. Later, Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina officially inaugurated the construction of Kornphuli Tunnel on February 24, 2019.
Karnaphuli tunnel connecting – Port area of Patenga Naval Academy to Anaira in Chittagong.
Length of Karnaphuli Tunnel – 3.4 km.
Karnaphuli tunnel is 10 meters wide.
Description of Padma Bridge
Another name of Karnaphuli tunnel - Two towns – one city.
The contractor for Karnaphuli Tunnel is China Communication and Construction Company Ltd. (CCCC), China.
Karnaphuli Tunnel Launched:- As per the scheduled schedule, both the roads are expected to be completed by November 2021 and the whole project by December 2022.
