Every year on September 22 we celebrate Buddha's return from the desire god realm called Land of the Thirty-three Heavens, where he had been to visit his mother who had been reborn there. Traditionally this day also marks the end of the summer retreat. ☸️🙏

Is this a real photograph of the Buddha? "The Temptation of Buddha" is a painting by Eduardo Chicharro Aguera. There’s also a famous photo of Lord Buddha, taken by an Australian reporter in 1979 at Bodhgaya, India. The reporter was actually trying to take a picture of the Bodhi Tree, but when the photo was developed, an image of Buddha appeared instead. Some people believe this photo shows a real image of Buddha, as it was taken by a visitor in 1980 who was photographing the Bodhi Tree, and the Buddha appeared on the film by chance. Buddha’s enlightenment under the Bodhi Tree marked the discovery of the Four Noble Truths, teaching that suffering can end through right understanding and mindful living. His teachings continue to inspire millions on the path to peace and compassion. ❤️☸️
