Alhamdulillah!

I am delighted to share that our research paper, "Spatiotemporal Land Use Dynamics and Emerging Environmental Challenges in Bangladesh: A Sentinel-2 Based CA-ANN Study," has been published online in Applied Geomatics (Springer Nature; Impact Factor: 2.3, CiteScore: 5.3).

I sincerely thank my co-authors, mentors, colleagues, and well-wishers for their invaluable support and encouragement throughout this journey. I hope this work contributes to a better understanding of land use dynamics and sustainable environmental management in Bangladesh.

Alhamdulillah!

I am delighted to share that our another research paper has been published online in Discover Environment, a Q1-ranked international journal published by Springer Nature.

The journal requires an Article Processing Charge (APC), and although a full waiver was not initially available for authors from Bangladesh, submitted a waiver request and was grateful to receive a 100% APC waiver, making this publication possible.

The paper is now available online, and I look forward to its contributions to the scientific community.

এই গবেষণায় Fuzzy Logic, GIS ও রিমোট সেন্সিং প্রযুক্তি ব্যবহার করে গাজীপুর জেলার ভূগর্ভস্থ পানির সম্ভাব্যতা অঞ্চল (Groundwater Potential Zones) নির্ধারণ করা হয়েছে। ১২টি থিম্যাটিক লেয়ার ব্যবহার করে তৈরি মডেলটি BWDB-এর পর্যবেক্ষণ কূপের মাধ্যমে ৮৯.৪৭% নির্ভুলতা প্রদর্শন করেছে, যা টেকসই ভূগর্ভস্থ পানি ব্যবস্থাপনা ও ভবিষ্যৎ পরিকল্পনায় গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা রাখতে পারে।

আনন্দের সঙ্গে জানাচ্ছি যে আমাদের গবেষণা প্রবন্ধটি আন্তর্জাতিক জার্নাল Ecological Indicators (Elsevier, 2026)-এ প্রকাশিত হয়েছে।
📌 এই গবেষণায় আমরা গাজীপুর জেলায় ভবিষ্যৎ ভূগর্ভস্থ পানির সম্ভাব্যতা (Groundwater Potential Zones) বিশ্লেষণ করেছি, যেখানে জলবায়ু পরিবর্তন (CMIP6) ও ভূমি ব্যবহার পরিবর্তনের প্রভাব বিবেচনা করা হয়েছে।
এই গবেষণা বাংলাদেশের দ্রুত নগরায়নশীল অঞ্চলে টেকসই পানিসম্পদ ব্যবস্থাপনা পরিকল্পনায় সহায়ক হবে বলে আশা করছি।

আমাদের গবেষণা প্রবন্ধ “Socioeconomic consequences of riverbank erosion and accretion along the Dhaleshwari River, Bangladesh” প্রকাশিত হয়েছে Discover Geoscience (Springer Nature) জার্নালে।

এই গবেষণায় ১৯৯৩–২০২৩ সময়কালে মাল্টি-টেম্পোরাল Landsat ডেটা ও সুপারভাইজড ক্লাসিফিকেশন ব্যবহার করে ঢালেশ্বরী নদীর ব্যাংক ইরোশন–অ্যাক্রিশন ডায়নামিক্স বিশ্লেষণ করা হয়েছে। ফলাফলে দেখা যায়—সামান্য নেট অ্যাক্রিশন থাকা সত্ত্বেও ঘন ঘন চ্যানেল মাইগ্রেশন নদীতীরবর্তী এলাকায় দীর্ঘমেয়াদি অস্থিতিশীলতা সৃষ্টি করছে।

গবেষণাটি নদীভাঙনকে একটি জিওমরফোলজিক্যাল ও সোশিও-এনভায়রনমেন্টাল হ্যাজার্ড হিসেবে চিহ্নিত করে এবং ইন্টিগ্রেটেড রিভার ম্যানেজমেন্ট কৌশলের প্রয়োজনীয়তা তুলে ধরে।
