There are 3 main types of SEO
1.On-page SEO
2.Off page SEO
3.Technical SEO
ON-page SEO (also called on-site SEO) is the practice of optimizing web pages to rank higher in search engines. It includes optimizations for visible content and the HTML source code.
Why is on-page SEO important?
Google looks at your page's content to determine whether it's a relevant result for the search query. Part of this process involves looking for keywords.
But there's more to on-page SEO than including keywords in your content-a lot more.
Google is ultimately looking for the most relevant search result for a query, so their algorithms also look for other relevant content on the page. If your page is about dogs and you don't mention different breeds, Google knows there are probably more relevant results out there.
Relevance is such a big part of on-page SEO that unless you crack it, you’re unlikely to rank.
Before you even think about making ‘technical’ optimizations like placing keywords here or there, you need to create content that Google wants to rank. You should have a main target keyword in mind.
Otherwise, here are the four things you need to master:
Be relevant ,Be thorough ,Be unique ,Be clear.
Off-Page SEO:
Off-page SEO simply tells Google what others think about your site. For example, if you've got a lot of valuable links pointing to your pages, search engines will assume that you've got great content, the type that provides value for users.People only cite, reference, and share content they like.
Backlink is also another important feature of off page seo.
A backlink is a link created when one website links to another. Backlinks are also called "inbound links" or "incoming links." Backlinks are important to SEO.
Why Backlinks is Important:
Backlinks are important for SEO because they signal to Google that another resource finds your content valuable enough to link to it within their own content. As a website earns additional backlinks, search engines inter that the website possesses valuable content worth ranking well on the SERPs.
Technical SEO is the process of optimizing your website to help search engines like Google find, crawl, understand, and index your pages. The goal is to be found and improve rankings.
Technical SEO is important because if search engines can't properly access, read, understand, or index your pages, then you won't rank or even be found for that matter.
To avoid technical SEO mistakes like removing yourself from Google's index, there are five things you should understand:
o Robots.txt
o Sitemaps
o Schema
o Canonical tags
