The Nun II is a supernatural horror film released on September 8, 2023. Directed by Michael Chaves, it serves as a sequel to The Nun (2018) and is the eighth installment in The Conjuring Universe. The film stars Taissa Farmiga, Jonas Boquete, and Bonnie Aarons, with Storm Reid and Anna Popplewell joining the cast.
The plot picks up four years after the events of the first film. Sister Irene, now serving in a convent in Italy, has a vision of Maurice, a young boy she previously encountered, asking for her help1. She is dispatched by the Cardinal to investigate a series of deaths across Europe attributed to the demon Valak. She travels to Tarascon, France, with Sister Debra, a young novice, where they confront Valak once again1.
The film received mixed reviews but was a commercial success, grossing $269 million worldwide.
