A CU student was harassed through a fake Facebook account after commenting on a post about Shamsun Nahar Hall. The person behind the account, identified as Arabic Department student Ali Ahasan Mojahid (2022–23), admitted to the act and claimed he was directed by others. The victim is now considering a formal complaint.

Alumni Organises Eid Feast for Students Staying on CU Campus

Hasibul Kabir Mahin, a former student of the Department of Communication and Journalism at Chittagong University (CU), has arranged a friendly dinner for students remaining on campus during the upcoming Eid ul-Adha.

The event is scheduled for May 28, 2026 — the day of Eid — at 8:30 PM. It will be held at Shahjalal Hall Dining for male students and Bijoy 24 Hall Dining for female students. Arrangements have also been made for non-Muslim students, with mutton included on the menu.

CUCSU Reserves Three Train Coaches for CU Students Ahead of Eid-ul-Adha

The Chittagong University Central Students' Union (CUCSU) has reserved three coaches on the Dhaka Mail train for university students travelling home for Eid-ul-Adha. The train is scheduled to depart at 11:45 PM on Saturday, May 23.
Students heading to Dhaka or any station along the route can secure a seat by filling out a registration form. A total of 270 students can be accommodated, with three passengers per seat.
A goodwill fee of Tk 100 per ticket has been set, in addition to the university administration's subsidy. Registration is currently open.

A shocking security breach occurred at Chittagong University last evening as a fourth-year student was stabbed and left bleeding after confronting a suspicious loiterer.
The victim, SM Faisal Hasan, narrowly escaped a fatal blow to the neck but sustained deep lacerations to his arms and fingers.
Student leaders have slammed the university administration over a total breakdown of infrastructure, pointing out that the crime scene is pitch black with non-functional CCTV cameras and .

Administrative activities at Chittagong University's Alaol Hall came to a standstill for three hours today as hall council representatives locked down the Provost and administrative offices. The students are demanding a swift resolution to an 8-point demand list, including room renovations, a reopened canteen, and better water filtration systems.
The locks were eventually removed after the newly appointed Provost, Professor Jamalul Akbar Chowdhury, denied allegations of negligence and promised immediate formal dialogue this afternoon.
