চোখ বিক্রি করে আমি এই শহরে এসেছি।

চারদিকে তাই কাউকে দেখি না। পথের মধ্যে একজন বলেছিল, কান দুটাও রেখে যাও। রেখে এলাম। এখন আমি আর ভালো-মন্দ কিচ্ছু শুনি না।

তবে মাঝে মাঝে খুব খারাপ লাগে এই শহরে। একজনকে বললাম, এই খারাপ লাগার কারণ কী?

বললেন, বোকা ছেলে সব বিক্রি করেছ, বিবেকটা বিক্রি না করলেতো এমন হবেই...

এরপর এই শহরে আমি একজন ভালো ক্রেতা খুঁজে বেড়াচ্ছি। কয়েকজনকে পেয়ে বললাম, একটা বিবেক ছিল। খুব কমে বেঁচতে চাই । নেবেন ভাই?

বললেন, মাথা খারাপ ! আমরা মাত্রই নিজেদের বিবেকও বেঁচে দিয়ে এলাম।
