Institutional recruitment has been stopped, yet teacher recruitment at Kalarmarchhara Girls' Madrasa.
Md. Ramjan Ali Moheshkhali-7 August 25.
Despite the government officially halting institutional teacher recruitment on 22 October 2015, the superintendent of Kalarmarchhara Shah Majidia Girls' Madrasa, Solaiman, disregarded government policy and appointed a relative by showing a joining date in 2015 and included them in MPO in 2017.
At that time, there were no vacancies for the assistant moulvi position at Kalarmarchhara Shah Majidia Girls' Madrasa; three individuals were serving as assistant moulvis: Maulana Tamij Uddin, Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, and Abdul Majid.
Due to the proven corruption of the madrasa superintendent Solaiman, Aminul Ehsan was imprisoned in a case by the Anti-Corruption Commission for illegal recruitment and various irregularities and corruption, which were published in the media. Subsequently, the then-serving Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) had stopped the salaries and allowances of the teachers and staff of Kalarmarchhara Shah Majidia Girls' Madrasa. Later, the accomplice of the fascists, Syedul Kader, the publicity secretary of Moheshkhali Upazila Awami League, used the title of the president of the madrasa management committee and the APS of the MP Ashik Ullah Rafiq to arrange for Aminul Ehsan and everyone else to receive their salaries through illegal means.
When asked why the recruitment application from Super Maulana Solaiman in 2015 was included in the MPO in 2017, he avoided the question without giving any answer.
The Upazila Secondary Education Officer Mohammad Zahidur Rahman stated that such recruitment is out of the question. According to the directives of the department, if any recruitment notice was issued by 22 October 2015, the recruitment process must be completed within the next 6 months. Any deviation from this would be irregular.
The Upazila Executive Officer Md. Hedayet Ullah stated that if the investigation confirms the irregularity, necessary actions will be taken.
The inspector of the Education Directorate, GM Shamsul Alam, mentioned that this method of recruitment is not compliant with the regulations, and if a written complaint is received, necessary actions will be taken after investigation.
Professor Md. Fazlul Kader Chowdhury, Director of the Chattogram Regional Office of the Education Directorate, stated that this method of recruitment is not supposed to happen, and actions will be taken regarding this matter after reviewing the proper documents.
