Statement by Rohingya Consultative Council (RRC)

It has been reported that the AA (Arakan Army) commander completely rejected a request to make exceptions for children, the sick, and the elderly who were sheltering in farmlands during a renewed blockade and inspection of Bora Shiddar Para village in Maungdaw by the AA.

At least 13 Rohingya civilians were reportedly detained and taken away by AA troops, although detailed information about the detainees is not yet known.

Due to the AA's aggressive raids, verbal abuse, physical assaults, and threats, Rohingya residents in northern Maungdaw Township are said to be living in fear.

Romida Age 29 Year, said

Before, there were three of us, but now it's just my daughter and me. When our village, Naid Dail, was attacked by the Arakan Army, my husband was killed in a drone strike. He is gone forever, and I have been burning inside since that day. My daughter and I fled to Haire Fara, but a few days later, it was attacked as well. We barely escaped with our lives. Slowly, we made our way toward the Naf River. We found a boat and somehow managed to reach Bangladesh,

AA Forces Allegedly Looting Nearly All Rohingya Homes in Maungdaw Township

It has been reported that the Arakan Army (AA), an armed group active in Rakhine State, has looted and destroyed nearly all homes belonging to Rohingya residents in Maungdaw Township.

A resident of Maungdaw told the Arakan Tribune that nearly all Rohingya homes in downtown Maungdaw have been looted. Items stolen reportedly include electric meters, electrical wires, door frames, solar panels, generators, batteries, roofing materials, household items, and furniture.

“They destroyed most parts of the homes owned by Rohingya. Even Islamic books including the Holy Qur’an and Hadith were thrown away, torn to pieces,” the source added.

Furthermore, it is reported that the Arakan Army and its affiliates are continuing to intimidate the Rohingya community in various ways while looting belongings in downtown Maungdaw.

Stop the Misinformation – Stand with the Rohingya

It's heartbreaking to see certain Northeast news platforms spreading false and hateful narratives about the innocent Rohingya community. These are people who have already suffered unimaginable trauma — and now, fake news is making their lives even harder.

We must question what we read. Misinformation and hate speech only create more division and violence. Facebook must do more to regulate such harmful content and protect vulnerable communities.

Let’s speak up against hate. Let’s stand for truth.

April 19, 2025.

A Chin woman was r***d by an AA officer and a comrade in Sein Sin village, Paletwa Township, Chin State, according to local residents.

The incident occurred at 9 a.m. on April 5 when a Chin woman, aged around 25, was walking to a farm about 10 minutes from the village.

"I went to the field to pick food alone. The incident was not far from the village, so my mother-in-law went to the field. There, an AA officer and a soldier r***d the woman and tried to drown her in the stream. The mother-in-law saw her and cried for help, but she escaped," a local man from Sein Sin village who knew the incident told Kimo media.

The Chin woman who was r***d is the mother of a baby over (2) years old, and she has a husband, who is currently working abroad.

The AA officer and a soldier who committed the r**e are both on duty at the air base in Sein Sin village and are currently being detained by the AAK.

On November 24, 2024, In Sami, a Chin woman with a child was gang-r***d to death by an unknown group near an AA camp.
