Ensuring Sustained Support for FDMNs: Gratitude to WFP and its Donors

The Office of the Refugee Relief and Repatriation Commissioner (RRRC) extends its sincere gratitude to the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) and its donors for their continued commitment to supporting the Forcibly Displaced Myanmar Nationals (FDMNs) in Cox’s Bazar and Bhasan Char.
Despite significant funding challenges, WFP has ensured that food assistance remains at a nearly consistent level, demonstrating its unwavering dedication to the well-being of Rohingyas. The revised support structure will now provide:
✅ USD 12 per person per month for FDMNs in Cox’s Bazar
✅ USD 13 per person per month for FDMNs in Bhasan Char

This crucial assistance will help sustain food security and nutrition among the displaced communities. We acknowledge and appreciate WFP’s relentless efforts to mobilize resources, ensuring that those in need are not left behind.
We also urge the international community to step forward with the necessary funding so that these life-saving programs can be sustained in the long term.

It is really heartbreaking to witness such unimaginable cruelty. How can anyone subject an innocent child to such horrific suffering? 😭😭💔💔

A helpless seven-year-old Rohingya boy from the Cox's Bazar Refugee Camp was kidnapped and buried up to his neck inside the ground by the heartless kidnappers. They initially demanded 700,000 Taka and then reduced it to 200,000 Taka from his father for his release. The father, already struggling to provide for his family, is now in an unbearable situation, desperate to save his beloved son.

This inhumane act highlights the extreme vulnerabilities faced by children in refugee camps, who are supposed to be protected and cared for.
