Kutubdia has an area of 36 square miles (93 km2), 18 miles (29 km) in length and 2 miles (3.2 km) in breadth. It is famous for the o
nly lighthouse in Bangladesh which was built by the British during the British rule. Kutubdia is rich in producing salt and dried fish, locally known as 'Shutki'.
