Debating and Mooting Club(DMC) Of London College of Legal Studies (South) proudly presents “Mooters are the leaders”.
Barrister Prashanta Barua will be present as a keynote speaker of the session. Mr. Prashanta Barua is a qualified Advocate and a media lawyer of Bangladesh since 1996, who has a great interest in Global Human Rights, Politics, History and Genocide Studies. He has 15 years of teaching experience in UK HE Sector. He is an active joint editor of two journals named Testimony and Silk Road alongside Emeritus Professor Phil A Thomas as Editor. He is a global debating judge since 2000 and adjudicated Oxford, Cambridge IVs, Glasgow Worlds, SAARC Mooting Champs and Price Media Law Mooting in Oxford.
He was present in Octo Final of the International round as a presiding judge in Mansfield College. He has actively judged in Price Moot, Oxford, South Asia Rounds in 2019-2022. He was also a Memorial and Presiding Judge in Filip C Jessup, 2020-2023 in the International Rounds, North European Rounds, American Round. Along with International rounds, he judged national rounds of Myanmar, Spain, France, UK. He has actively judged in Professor Madhava Menon Jural Conclave in both international and national rounds from 2015 to 2023.
He actively taught in UK, India, Bangladesh as regular and guest lecturer and was a director of debate in Bangladesh Television (1997 to 2001).
