Human Metapneumovirus (HMPV):

হিউম্যান মেটাপনিউমোভাইরাস (এইচএমপিভি) একটি সাধারণ শ্বাসযন্ত্রের ভাইরাস যা হালকা সর্দি থেকে শুরু করে গুরুতর শ্বাসযন্ত্রের সংক্রমণ, বিশেষ করে শিশু এবং বয়স্কদের মধ্যে বিভিন্ন ধরনের উপসর্গ সৃষ্টি করতে পারে।

Key points:

লক্ষণ:
নাক দিয়ে পানি পড়া, কাশি, জ্বর, গলা ব্যথা, হাঁপানি, শ্বাস নিতে অসুবিধা (গুরুতর ক্ষেত্রে)।

সংক্রমণ:
এইচএমপিভি সংক্রামিত ব্যক্তি কাশি বা হাঁচি দিলে নিঃশ্বাসের মাধ্যমে ছড়ায়।

ঝুঁকিপূর্ণ ব্যক্তিরা:

শিশু, বয়স্ক ব্যক্তি, দুর্বল রোগ প্রতিরোধ ক্ষমতা সম্পন্ন ব্যক্তি, হাঁপানি বা সিওপিডি রোগীরা এই সংক্রমণের ঝুঁকিতে বেশি থাকে।

প্রতিরোধ:
বর্তমানে এইচএমপিভি সংক্রমণ প্রতিরোধে কোনো টিকা নেই। তবে ঘন ঘন হাত ধোয়া, অসুস্থ ব্যক্তির সাথে ঘনিষ্ঠ যোগাযোগ এড়ানো, কাশি বা হাঁচি দেওয়ার সময় মুখ ও নাক ঢাকা রাখা, অসুস্থ থাকলে বাড়িতে থাকা ইত্যাদি উপায়ে সংক্রমণের ঝুঁকি কমানো যায়।
