I always liked cars, but everyone around me never missed the opportunity to taunt me and say, "Gari to borolok er jinish."

I remember being 8 years old when the Nano came out—a car that middle-class people could afford. I never skipped a Tata Nano commercial. The looks might have been mocked by the majority, but I remember the sheer happiness I felt whenever I saw a Tata Nano. It was a symbol of hope for kids like me, showing that we too could own a car, be with our families, and have some privacy.

Thank you, Mr. Ratan Tata, for giving me the courage to dream. You’ll always be a star for the 8-year-old still hiding in me.

চলছে আস-সুন্নাহ ফাউন্ডেশন কর্তৃক বন্যার্তদের জন্য ত্রাণ প্রস্তুতির বিশাল কর্মযজ্ঞ। আলহামদু লিল্লাহ, আমারদের প্রাথমিক লক্ষ্যমাত্রা ছিল ৫০০ মেট্রিক টন, যা এখন ৭০০ মেট্রিক টনে পৌঁছাচ্ছে। প্রয়োজন সাপেক্ষে আরো বর্ধিত হবে ইনশাআল্লাহ।

প্রথম ধাপে আমরা ২০ হাজার পরিবারকে দিচ্ছি ২ কেজি খেজুর, ২ কেজি চিড়া, ১ কেজি লবণ, ১ কেজি চিনি, বনরুটি, কেক, বোতলজাত পানি, মোমবাতি ও দিয়াশলাই। ইতোমধ্যে আমাদের পাঁচটি গাড়ি স্পটে পৌঁছে গেছে।

আদ-দীন হাসপাতলের পক্ষ থেকে ফাউন্ডেশনের ত্রাণ তহবিলে ১৬ হাজার বনরুটি দেওয়া হয়েছে। আকিজ বেকার্সের পক্ষ থেকে ৩৭৮০ পিস বনরুটি এবং ১ হাজার ৫০০ পিস পাউন্ড কেক দেওয়া হয়েছে।

এছাড়া আকিজ বেভারেজের পক্ষ থেকে আস-সুন্নাহ ফাউন্ডেশনের ত্রাণ তহবিলে ৭ হাজার ২০০ বোতল পানি (২২৫০ এমএল), ৭ হাজার ২০০ প্যাকেট গুড়াদুধ (৫০ গ্রাম), ৫ হাজার ৫৬০ প্যাকেট মুড়ি (৫০০ গ্রাম) প্রদান করা হয়েছে। এগুলো বাংলাদেশ সেনাবাহিনীর মাধ্যমে বিতরণ করা হচ্ছে।

দ্বিতীয় ধাপে ৫০ হাজার পরিবাররকে ১০ কেজি চাল, ২ লিটার তেল, ২ কেজি ডাল, ১ কেজি লবণ দেয়া হবে ইনশাআল্লাহ।

পরিস্থিতির যথেষ্ট উন্নতি হলে ৫০ হাজার পরিবারকে ২৫ কেজি করে চাল দেয়া হবে। মোট ১ লাখ ২০ হাজার পরিবারের কাছে খাদ্যসামগ্রী দেয়া হবে ইনশাআল্লাহ।

পরিস্থিতি পুরোপুরি স্বাভাবিক হলে ৪ হাজার পরিবারকে পুনর্বাসন কল্পে টিন ও নগদ টাকা দেয়া হবে ইনশাআল্লাহ।

মহান আল্লাহ আমাদেরকে কাঁধে কাঁধ মিলিয়ে এই জাতীয় দুর্যোগ থেকে আত্মরক্ষার তাওফিক দিন।
