The ongoing plight of the Palestinian people is a matter of urgent global concern. With 142 nations standing in solidarity for Palestine, it is unacceptable that justice continues to be blocked by a U.S. veto at the United Nations. The National Human Rights Crime Reporter Foundation (NHCRF), through its Cultural Secretary MH Manik, emphasizes that recognizing the State of Palestine is not just a political necessity but a moral obligation for humanity. Peace, freedom, and justice cannot be postponed – the world must act now to end occupation and oppression. Stand with Palestine, stand for humanity.
NHCRF Welcomes UN “New York Declaration” but Condemns U.S. Veto and 10-Nation Opposition Blocking Palestine’s Statehood
Date: 14 September 2025
Statement:
The United Nations General Assembly today adopted the “New York Declaration” with overwhelming support countries voted in favor of Palestinian statehood and against occupation. Only 10 countries — the United States, Israel, Argentina, Hungary, Micronesia, Nauru, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Paraguay and Tonga — opposed the declaration.
The National Human Rights Crime Reporter Foundation (NHCRF) regards this declaration as a historic step for global human rights. Yet at the same time, NHCRF strongly condemns those states that continue to deny Palestinians their legitimate rights and uphold the veto culture led by the United States.
For NHCRF, the establishment of an independent State of Palestine is not just a political issue; it is a question of humanity and justice. The international community must act immediately to end this injustice and dismantle the veto system that blocks humanitarian and democratic resolutions.
NHCRF Call:
> 142 nations have stood on the side of humanity — this is the awakening of the world’s conscience. It is time to unite internationally against U.S. vetoes and policies of oppression.
The Right to a Palestinian State Is Humanity’s Victory — End the Politics of Oppression. 🤜🤛
