Starting from August 1 to 4, 2025, renowned cultural group Saimum Shilpigosthi will host the “July Jagoron” Cultural Fest at Suhrawardy Udyan, Dhaka. The four-day event, open daily from 10 AM to 10 PM, commemorates the anniversary of the July 2024 mass uprising.
The event will feature film and documentary screenings focused on July, stage plays and recitations, stories and reminiscences from martyr families and the injured, a kids’ zone with games and activities, graffiti exhibitions created during July across various regions of the country, and a large canvas map of Bangladesh made in memory of the martyrs. Additionally, there will be food stalls, a graffiti wall, a special exhibition called “Aynaghor,” and captivating cultural programs every evening.
Each day will include three sessions—film screenings, testimonies from victims and families, and cultural performances by top national artists.
The event is expected to draw participants from various sectors, including government advisors, cultural figures, activists, and families of the martyrs.
