Saudi Arabia is redefining urban green spaces with King Salman Park, scheduled to open in Riyadh by 2026. Covering 16.6 km², it will be the world’s largest urban park—five times bigger than New York’s Central Park.
The mega-park will feature gardens, sports facilities, cultural centers, and even an arts district. Designed to be the “green heart” of Riyadh, it aims to improve quality of life, reduce urban heat, and offer a natural retreat for millions of residents.
Part of Saudi Vision 2030, King Salman Park reflects the Kingdom’s push to balance modernization with sustainability, proving that mega-projects can also bring nature back to cities.
