1. Arafah Day Dua
Arabic:
لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لاَ شَرِيكَ لَهُ، لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ
English Pronunciation:
Laa ilaaha illallaahu wahdahu laa shareeka lah, lahul mulku wa lahul hamdu wa huwa ‘alaa kulli shay’in qadeer.
English Meaning:
There is no true god except Allah alone, without partner. To Him belongs all sovereignty and all praise, and He has power over everything.

2. Sayyidul Istighfar (Best Dua for Forgiveness)
Arabic:
اللّٰهُمَّ أَنْتَ رَبِّيْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلاَّ أَنْتَ، خَلَقْتَنِيْ وَأَنَا عَبْدُكَ وَأَنَا عَلَى عَهْدِكَ وَوَعْدِكَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُ، أَعُوْذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا صَنَعْتُ، أَبُوءُ لَكَ بِنِعْمَتِكَ عَلَيَّ، وَأَبُوءُ بِذَنْبِيْ فَاغْفِرْ لِيْ فَإِنَّهُ لاَ يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوْبَ إِلاَّ أَنْتَ
English Pronunciation:
Allaahumma anta rabbee laa ilaaha illaa ant, khalaqtanee wa ana ‘abduk, wa ana ‘alaa ‘ahdika wa wa‘dika mastata‘t, a‘oodhu bika min sharri maa sana‘t, aboo’u laka bini‘matika ‘alayya, wa aboo’u bidhanbee faghfir lee fa innahu laa yaghfirudh dhunooba illaa ant.
English Meaning:
O Allah, You are my Lord. There is no god except You. You created me and I am Your servant. I try my best to keep my covenant and promise to You. I seek refuge in You from the evil of what I have done. I acknowledge Your blessings upon me and I confess my sins, so forgive me, for none forgives sins except You.

3. Dua for Parents and All Muslims
Arabic:
اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِيْ وَلِوَالِدَيَّ وَلِلْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ وَالْمُسْلِمِيْنَ وَالْمُسْلِمَاتِ الْأَحْيَاءِ مِنْهُمْ وَالْأَمْوَاتِ
English Pronunciation:
Allaahummaghfir lee wa liwaalidayya wa lil mu’mineena wal mu’minaati wal muslimeena wal muslimaatil ahyaa’i minhum wal amwaat.
English Meaning:
O Allah, forgive me, my parents, all believing men and women, and all Muslim men and women, those alive and those who have passed away.

4. Dua for Protection from Hellfire
Arabic:
اللَّهُمَّ اعْتِقْ رِقَابَنَا وَرِقَابَ آبَائِنَا وَأُمَّهَاتِنَا وَإِخْوَانِنَا وَأَخَوَاتِنَا وَأَبْنَائِنَا وَبَنَاتِنَا وَأَهْلِينَا وَعُلَمَائِنَا وَمَنْ لَهُ حَقٌّ عَلَيْنَا وَالْمُسْلِمِينَ مِنَ النَّارِ
English Pronunciation:
Allaahumm a‘tiq riqaabanaa wa riqaaba aabaa’inaa wa ummahaatinaa wa ikhwaaninaa wa akhawaatinaa wa abnaa’inaa wa banaatinaa wa ahleenaa wa ‘ulamaa’inaa wa man lahu haqqun ‘alaynaa wal muslimeena minan naar.
English Meaning:
O Allah, free us, our parents, our brothers and sisters, our sons and daughters, our families, our scholars, everyone who has rights over us, and all Muslims from the Fire.

5. Dua for Good in This World and Hereafter
Arabic:
رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِيْ الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَّفِيْ الْآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَّقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ
English Pronunciation:
Rabbanaa aatinaa fid dunyaa hasanatan wa fil aakhirati hasanatan wa qinaa ‘adhaaban naar.
English Meaning:
Our Lord, grant us goodness in this world and goodness in the Hereafter, and protect us from the punishment of the Fire.

6. Dua for Protection from Grave, Hell, and Dajjal
Arabic:
اللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّيْ أَعُوْذُ بِكَ مِنْ عَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ، وَمِنْ عَذَابِ جَهَنَّمَ، وَمِنْ فِتْنَةِ الْمَحْيَا وَالْمَمَاتِ، وَمِنْ شَرِّ فِتْنَةِ الْمَسِيْحِ الدَّجَّال
English Pronunciation:
Allaahumma innee a‘oodhu bika min ‘adhaabil qabr, wa min ‘adhaabi jahannam, wa min fitnatil mahyaa wal mamaat, wa min sharri fitnatil maseehid dajjaal.
English Meaning:
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the punishment of the grave, the punishment of Hell, the trials of life and death, and the evil trial of the False Messiah (Dajjal).

Arabic:
اللَّهُمَّ أَعِنِّي عَلَى ذِكْرِكَ، وَشُكْرِكَ، وَحُسْنِ عِبَادَتِكَ
English Pronunciation:
Allaahumma a‘innee ‘alaa dhikrika wa shukrika wa husni ‘ibaadatik.
English Meaning:
O Allah, help me remember You, thank You, and worship You beautifully.

Arabic:
رَبَّنَا هَبْ لَنَا مِنْ أَزْوَاجِنَا وَذُرِّيَّاتِنَا قُرَّةَ أَعْيُنٍ وَّاجْعَلْنَا لِلْمُتَّقِيْنَ إِمَامًا
English Pronunciation:
Rabbanaa hab lanaa min azwaajinaa wa dhurriyyaatinaa qurrata a‘yunin waj‘alnaa lil muttaqeena imaamaa.
English Meaning:
Our Lord, grant us spouses and children who will be the comfort of our eyes and make us leaders of the righteous.

9. Dua After Committing Sin
Arabic:
رَبَّنَا ظَلَمْنَا أَنْفُسَنَا وَإِنْ لَّمْ تَغْفِرْ لَنَا وَتَرْحَمْنَا لَنَكُوْنَنَّ مِنَ الْخَاسِرِيْنَ
English Pronunciation:
Rabbanaa zalamnaa anfusanaa wa illam taghfir lanaa wa tarhamnaa lanakoonanna minal khaasireen.
English Meaning:
Our Lord, we have wronged ourselves. If You do not forgive us and have mercy upon us, we will surely be among the losers.

Arabic:
رَبَّنَا أَفْرِغْ عَلَيْنَا صَبْرًا وَّتَوَفَّنَا مُسْلِمِيْنَ
English Pronunciation:
Rabbanaa afrigh ‘alaynaa sabran wa tawaffanaa muslimeen.
English Meaning:
Our Lord, pour upon us patience and let us die as Muslims.

11. Comprehensive Forgiveness Dua
Arabic:
اللّٰهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِيْ مَا قَدَّمْتُ، وَمَا أَخَّرْتُ، وَمَا أَسْرَرْتُ، وَمَا أَعْلَنْتُ، وَمَا أَسْرَفْتُ، وَمَا أَنْتَ أَعْلَمُ بِهِ مِنِّي، أَنْتَ الْمُقَدِّمُ، وَأَنْتَ الْمُؤَخِّرُ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ أَنْتَ
English Pronunciation:
Allaahummaghfir lee maa qaddamtu wa maa akhkhartu wa maa asrartu wa maa a‘lantu wa maa asraftu wa maa anta a‘lamu bihi minnee, antal muqaddimu wa antal mu’akhkhiru laa ilaaha illaa ant.
English Meaning:
O Allah, forgive my past and future sins, what I hid and what I made public, what I exceeded in, and what You know better than me. You are the One who brings forward and delays. There is no god except You.

12. Short Dua for Mercy
Arabic:
رَّبِّ اغْفِرْ وَارْحَمْ وَأَنْتَ خَيْرُ الرَّاحِمِيْنَ
English Pronunciation:
Rabbighfir warham wa anta khayrur raahimeen.
English Meaning:
My Lord, forgive and have mercy, and You are the Best of those who show mercy.

13. Dua for Allah’s Pardon
Arabic:
اللّٰهُمَّ إِنَّكَ عَفُوٌّ تُحِبُّ الْعَفْوَ فَاعْفُ عَنِّيْ
English Pronunciation:
Allaahumma innaka ‘afuwwun tuhibbul ‘afwa fa‘fu ‘annee.
English Meaning:
O Allah, You are Most Forgiving and love forgiveness, so forgive me.

14. Dua to Be Saved from Hellfire
Arabic:
رَبَّنَا اصْرِفْ عَنَّا عَذَابَ جَهَنَّمَ ۖ إِنَّ عَذَابَهَا كَانَ غَرَامًا
English Pronunciation:
Rabbanasrif ‘annaa ‘adhaaba jahannam, inna ‘adhaabahaa kaana gharaamaa.
English Meaning:
Our Lord, turn away from us the punishment of Hell. Surely its punishment is everlasting.

Arabic:
رَبَّنَا آمَنَّا فَاغْفِرْ لَنَا وَارْحَمْنَا وَأَنْتَ خَيْرُ الرَّاحِمِيْنَ
English Pronunciation:
Rabbanaa aamannaa faghfir lanaa warhamnaa wa anta khayrur raahimeen.
English Meaning:
Our Lord, we have believed, so forgive us and have mercy on us. You are the Best of the merciful.

16. Dua for Safety and Wellbeing
Arabic:
اللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّيْ أَسْأَلُكَ الْعَفْوَ وَالْعَافِيَةَ فِيْ الدُّنْيَا وَالآخِرَةِ
English Pronunciation:
Allaahumma innee as’alukal ‘afwa wal ‘aafiyata fid dunyaa wal aakhirah.
English Meaning:
O Allah, I ask You for forgiveness and wellbeing in this world and the Hereafter.

17. Dua of Tawbah and Istighfar
Arabic:
أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللّٰهَ الْعَظِيْمَ الَّذِيْ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ هُوَ الْحَيُّ الْقَيُّوْمُ وَأَتُوْبُ إِلَيْهِ
English Pronunciation:
Astaghfirullaahal ‘azeem alladhee laa ilaaha illaa huwal hayyul qayyoomu wa atoobu ilayh.
English Meaning:
I seek forgiveness from Allah the Magnificent, besides whom there is no god, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer, and I repent to Him.
