▪️Freelancing to eliminate unemployment:
20 and 22 million young people enter the job market every year, the vast majority of whom have bachelor's and master's degrees. A recent Bangladesh Institute of Development Research (BIDS) survey revealed that two-thirds or 66 percent of students who passed out from national universities are unemployed. The pass rate is not low even from public universities. According to another statistic, graduate unemployment in the country is 47 percent. Experts point to a major mismatch between demand and supply in the job market as one of the reasons. In this way, the rate of educated unemployed is gradually increasing. Freelancing can reduce this unemployment rate to some extent. An educated unemployed person, his family and country can become self-reliant through freelancing.
Freelancing is a free profession. Through the use of information technology, one can earn money by working independently without working under a specific person or organization. Freelancing is essentially earning money by working for people or organizations in different countries of the world through the Internet. Popular websites for freelancing are fiver, freelancer, upwork etc. On these websites, people are earning money by doing various jobs, including data entry, content writing, computer programming, digital marketing, affiliate marketing, SEO, web design, web development, graphics design, etc. Freelancing is growing in popularity all over the world due to the convenience of being able to work on time and on demand. Moreover, businesses around the world are now more inclined to fill their needs with freelancers than hire permanent staff, at over 48 percent. Currently, it can be observed on freelancing websites, the number and income of freelancers in developed countries is higher than that of underdeveloped countries. Bangladesh ranks 8th in the list of best countries in terms of freelancing income and growing earnings. There are some difficulties in the country when it comes to working in freelancing. As such, paying freelancing taxes and the steps involved can be difficult at times. Freelancing income can be uncertain at times. Fixed income is not easy in freelancing. Day by day the competition in freelancing is increasing, so there is no substitute for the best job. It is not possible to survive in the freelancing market if you are not skilled. In the age of information technology, it is difficult to survive in the future without good computer knowledge. By improving computer skills, it can be used in freelancing to become self-reliant.
