Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia are set to strengthen military education through advanced training programmes and course exchanges.

Particular emphasis was placed on linking Bangladesh’s National Defence College and Defence Services Command and Staff College with leading Saudi military academies.

The initiative aims to enhance the professional capabilities, expertise and knowledge of officers from both countries while deepening broader defence cooperation and strengthening institutional military ties.

বাংলাদেশ সেনাবাহিনীর ইউনিফর্মে আসছে পরিবর্তন! বাংলাদেশ সেনাবাহিনীর ইউনিফর্মে কিছুটা পরিবর্তন আনার উদ্যোগ নেওয়া হয়েছে, যার মূল লক্ষ্য আধুনিক ও NATO-স্ট্যান্ডার্ডের সঙ্গে সামঞ্জস্যপূর্ণ একটি ডিজাইন প্রবর্তন করা।

ছবিতে দেখা ইউনিফর্মটি প্রস্তাবিত ডিজাইনের অংশ। পুরনো ব্রিটিশ ধাঁচের শোল্ডার থেকে র‍্যাংক ব্যাজ সরিয়ে বুকে স্থানান্তর করা হয়েছে। পাশাপাশি যুক্ত করা হয়েছে ব্লাড গ্রুপ প্যাচসহ আরও কিছু পরিবর্তন।

বর্তমানে যুক্তরাষ্ট্র, যুক্তরাজ্যে সহ ইউরোপের বিভিন্ন সামরিক বাহিনী, চীন এবং প্রতিবেশী পাকিস্তানেও র‍্যাংক ইনসিগনিয়া কাঁধ থেকে সরিয়ে বুকে ব্যবহারের প্রবণতা রয়েছে।

তবে এটি এখনো চূড়ান্ত হয়নি, ছবিটি শুধুমাত্র প্রস্তাবিত ডিজাইন।

Bangladesh will make sports education a compulsory subject from 2027 for students starting from Grade 4, aiming to institutionalize physical activity and curb screen time. State Minister for Youth and Sports, Md. Aminul Haque, announced that students will face a mandatory 100 mark evaluation consisting of a 40 mark written exam using a newly developed textbook and a 60-mark on-field practical assessment. The curriculum covers eight specific disciplines—football, cricket, kabaddi, martial arts/volleyball, athletics, badminton, chess, and swimming and will be supported by a government plan to construct 4,599 playgrounds across national unions and city wards to facilitate practical training.
