হিলম বা সহনশীলতা: হৃদয়ের শান্তির পরম অলংকার

মানুষের অন্তরে রাগ, ক্রোধ, বিরক্তি—এসব অনুভূতি স্বভাবতই থাকে। এগুলোকে পুরোপুরি মুছে ফেলা সম্ভব নয়। কিন্তু মানুষের প্রকৃত মহত্ত্ব প্রকাশ পায় তখনই, যখন সে তার আবেগকে নিয়ন্ত্রণে আনে এবং ক্রোধের আগুনকে সহনশীলতার ঠান্ডা জলে নিভিয়ে ফেলে।

হিলম মানে শুধু রাগ দমন নয়; বরং এটি এমন এক আধ্যাত্মিক গুণ, যা মানুষের অন্তরকে প্রশান্ত, চরিত্রকে পরিপূর্ণ ও আত্মাকে উঁচু মর্যাদায় পৌঁছে দেয়।

সহনশীলতা—আল্লাহর প্রিয় গুণ

আল্লাহ তাআলা নিজেকে বলেছেন الحليم (আল-হালীম) — অতি সহনশীল। তিনি তাঁর বান্দাদের অসংখ্য গুনাহর পরও অবিলম্বে শাস্তি দেন না, বরং ক্ষমার দরজা খোলা রাখেন।
যখন একজন মুমিন রাগ দমন করে, ক্ষমা করে দেয়, তখন তার মাঝে আল্লাহর এক সিফাতের (গুণের) ছায়া প্রতিফলিত হয়।

আল্লাহ তা'আলা বলেন:

> “আর যারা রাগ দমন করে ও মানুষের প্রতি ক্ষমাশীল হয়—আল্লাহ তাদের ভালোবাসেন।”
(সূরা আলে ইমরান: ১৩৪)

কল্পনা করুন, মানুষের সবচেয়ে বড় প্রাপ্তি হলো আল্লাহর ভালোবাসা। আর সেই ভালোবাসার অন্যতম পথ হলো—রাগের আগুনে উত্তপ্ত অবস্থায় নিজেকে শান্ত করা, প্রতিশোধ না নিয়ে ক্ষমা করা।

রাসূল ﷺ এর শিক্ষা: সহনশীলতাই প্রকৃত শক্তি

রাসূলুল্লাহ ﷺ তাঁর সাহাবীদের শেখাতেন, “শক্তিমান সে নয় যে প্রতিপক্ষকে কুস্তিতে পরাস্ত করতে পারে; বরং প্রকৃত শক্তিমান সে-ই, যে রাগের সময় নিজের নফসকে নিয়ন্ত্রণ করতে পারে।”
(সহীহ বুখারী: ৬১১৪, সহীহ মুসলিম: ২৬০৯)

অর্থাৎ মানুষের প্রকৃত বীরত্ব বাহুর শক্তিতে নয়, বরং অন্তরের শক্তিতে—যেখানে সহনশীলতা হলো বিজয়ের আসল হাতিয়ার।

তিনি আরো উপদেশ দিয়েছিলেন এক সাহাবীকে, বারবার শুধু একটি বাক্য বলেই:
“রাগ করো না।”
(সহীহ বুখারী: ৬১১৬)

এ থেকে বোঝা যায়, রাগ দমন ও হিলমের চর্চা শুধু নৈতিকতা নয়, বরং এটি ঈমানের অবিচ্ছেদ্য অংশ।

সহনশীলতার আধ্যাত্মিক ফল

১. আত্মার প্রশান্তি – রাগ যখন দমন হয়, অন্তর তখন আলোকিত হয়। হৃদয়ে এক ধরনের ঠান্ডা ও শান্তির স্রোত নামে।

২. সামাজিক সৌন্দর্য – রাগের উত্তেজনায় ভাঙন ঘটে, কিন্তু সহনশীলতা সমাজে ভ্রাতৃত্ব, ভালোবাসা ও ঐক্য স্থাপন করে।

৩. আল্লাহর সান্নিধ্য – আল্লাহর প্রিয় গুণ ধারণ করলে বান্দা তাঁর কাছাকাছি হয়। সহনশীলতার কারণে আল্লাহর রহমত নেমে আসে।

৪. গোনাহ মাফ – হাদীসে এসেছে,
“যে ব্যক্তি ক্ষমা করে দেয়, আল্লাহ তার মর্যাদা বৃদ্ধি করেন।”

রাগ দমনের সহজ উপায় (চিকিৎসা)

১. অযু করা – আগুনকে যেমন পানি নিভায়, রাগও অযুর ঠান্ডা জলে শান্ত হয়।

২. চুপ থাকা – কথা না বললে উত্তেজনা থেমে যায়, ঝগড়া বাড়ে না।

৩. অবস্থান পরিবর্তন – দাঁড়িয়ে থাকলে বসা, বসে থাকলে শুয়ে পড়া; এতে দেহ-মন শিথিল হয়।

৪. আল্লাহর কাছে আশ্রয় চাওয়া – أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم পড়ে নিজেকে শয়তানের কুমন্ত্রণা থেকে বাঁচানো।

৫. পানি পান করা – ঠান্ডা পানি দেহের উত্তাপ কমায়, হৃদয়ে শান্তি আনে।

একটি আবেগময় দৃষ্টি

কখনো ভাবুন—আপনার রাগ হয়তো ন্যায়সঙ্গত, কিন্তু সহনশীলতা প্রদর্শনের মাধ্যমে আপনি হয়তো কারো হৃদয়কে গলিয়ে ফেললেন। হয়তো আপনার ক্ষমাশীলতার কারণে কেউ আল্লাহর দিকে ফিরে গেল, অনুতপ্ত হলো।

রাসূল ﷺ এর জীবনে অসংখ্য ঘটনা আছে যেখানে তিনি প্রতিশোধ নিতে পারতেন, অথচ তিনি হিলমের মাধ্যমে ক্ষমা করেছেন। যেমন—তাইফের মানুষ তাঁকে রক্তাক্ত করেছিল, তখন তিনি দো‘আ করেছিলেন:
“হে আল্লাহ! এদেরকে ক্ষমা করুন, কারণ তারা জানে না।”

এই হলো সহনশীলতার প্রকৃত রূপ—যা শুধু সমাজে নয়, মানুষের হৃদয়েও আলো জ্বালায়।

আল্লাহ আমাদের অন্তরে এমন হিলম দান করুন, যা আমাদেরকে মানুষের মাঝে শ্রদ্ধার পাত্র, আর আল্লাহর কাছে প্রিয় বান্দায় পরিণত করবে।
