OpenAl co-founder and president Greg Brockman has quit OpenAl, he announced Friday in a post on X, hours after the Microsoft-backed giant abruptly fired its chief executive Sam Altman.

Altman's departure follows a "deliberative review process by the board", which concluded that OpenAl's founder was not consistently candid in his communications with the board. Which, in turn, hindered its ability to exercise its responsibilities.
