OFFICIAL STATEMENT FROM PMAB
Recently, an individual named SPOWER made a comment on the OPPO Discord Server.
Based on that comment and some information taken from SPOWER's (the same person who commented on the OPPO server) bio, OPPO Management issued a ban notice to the entire PMAB (PUBG Mobile Association Bangladesh) Management, banning them from both ongoing and upcoming events.
Not only that, they didn’t just target the management — they disqualified all teams under PMAB’s management from OPPO’s ongoing tournaments as well.
The question is simple:
If those teams have completed their registration properly and are participating fairly, with no direct connection to PMAB or SPOWER, why should they be subjected to such harassment?
Moreover, members of PMAB were threatened by OPPO representatives, and no polite or professional behavior was shown. Instead of trying to resolve the matter properly, false information and personal judgment were used to unnecessarily harass PMAB.
Our question remains:
How can the management of a LAN tournament with a 3 lakh BDT prize pool make such a decision — without any proper logic or communication — based solely on one person’s comment and bio, banning an entire management body and all teams and org under it?
Their only stated reason:
They claim that SPOWER spoke on behalf of ICONIC ESPORTS.
However, there is no valid proof of this claim — even the owner of ICONIC ESPORTS has not made any statement regarding the issue.
So, on what grounds or justification was such a major decision taken?
As it is OPPO’s first tour and LAN event, such disappointing feedback and behavior from them were truly unexpected and unacceptable.
Banning the entire management team, org, and connected teams with us, from the LAN event just because of a single person’s comment is nothing but a form of harassment.
