The Grand Finale of Capitalizer 2025, an investment strategy competition organized by the BUP Finance Society, took place on 28th June 2025 at Hotel Le Méridien, Dhaka. The event, powered by Akij Steel Mills Ltd., brought together young talents from across Bangladesh to showcase their financial strategies. The competition was hosted by BUP Finance Society from Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP).
The event was attended by several prominent figures, including Major General Md Mahbub-ul Alam, ndc, afwc, psc, M.Phil, Ph.D, Vice Chancellor of BUP, and MD. Mahbub ur Rahman, CEO of HSBC Bangladesh. In his speech, Major General Md Mahbub-ul Alam emphasized the significance of nurturing young talents in the financial sector, while MD. Mahbub ur Rahman shared his insights on the importance of innovation in finance. The competition saw 325 registered teams from 27 universities across Bangladesh, with 6 teams advancing to the Grand Finale.
Team Wolves of Mohammadpur Street emerged as the Champion, with Team Sells Like Team Spirit securing 1st Runner-Up and Team Pac Man Defense claiming 2nd Runner-Up. Esteemed guests such as Professor Dr. Khondoker Mokaddem Hossain, Pro Vice Chancellor of BUP, along with industry leaders from companies like Tyser Risk Management Limited, Dhrupodi Builders & Properties Limited, and Akij Steel Mills Limited, attended the event. Their participation highlighted the collaboration between academia and industry in shaping the future of finance in Bangladesh.
