Khirki Films is a production company and creative agency based in Dhaka, founded by a group of film students and young independent filmmakers from remarkable universities in Bangladesh. With capitalize on our past experience of working on Feature Film, TV Natok, TVC and our willingness to explore new creative endeavors, we stared our own production company. Established with the aim of showcasing Bengali emotions and narratives, we are proud of our cultural background and have opted to use the Bengali term 'Khirki' in our branding. "Khirki," which means "window" in Bengali and is derived from a Sanskrit word, signifies the "shutter of the camera" and the opening of a fresh "window" of imaginative concepts and material. As a production company, we specialise in creating TV Fiction, Short Films, Music videos, Documentaries, TV commercials, OVCs, and other audiovisual content. In addition, we provide creative solutions, ideas, support, and content development as a creative agency. After a year of quietly honing our craft, we officially began our journey in 2022. WE’RE LOOKING FOR

ART & COSTUME ASSISTANT (INTERN)
Project: Upcoming Audiovisual Production
Location: Bandarban & Cox’s Bazar
Duration: Project-based / Short-term

We are looking for a creative, responsible and energetic intern to assist our Art & Costume Department during pre-production and shooting.

Responsibilities:
• Script breakdown for art, costume and props
• Costume preparation & continuity support
• Props sourcing, organizing and tracking
• Assisting with art direction and set preparation
• Supporting costume fittings and on-set changes
• Maintaining props/costume checklists during shoot

Requirements:
• Must have a personal laptop
• Must be comfortable travelling and working in Bandarban & Cox’s Bazar
• Shooting locations and outdoor production environments should not be an issue
• Interest in production design, costume and filmmaking
• Film / Media / Theatre / Fashion / Fine Arts students are encouraged to apply

Sometimes, the best projects begin with complete chaos.

A few weeks ago, we submitted a proposal for an OVC for ActionAid Bangladesh, literally minutes before the deadline. In the rush, I made one of the biggest mistakes I've made in a proposal: I accidentally attached a budget from another project.

I was convinced we had lost the opportunity before it had even begun.
Then came an unexpected call.
We had been shortlisted.

During the presentation meeting, the team asked us question after question. "Can you really deliver this?" "How would you achieve the quality you're promising?" We answered with confidence, even though we knew the road ahead wouldn't be easy.

A few days later, they asked for a revised budget and a new creative concept.
We said yes.

Honestly, we weren't completely sure how we'd make it work within those constraints. But sometimes, growth starts with saying yes first and figuring out the impossible afterwards.

The biggest challenge wasn't the budget. It was the location.
Most of the film had to be shot in a densely populated urban community. Our challenge was simple to describe but difficult to execute: how do you create premium, cinematic visuals in a place that offers almost none of the production conveniences you're used to?

We spent days on location recce, searching for the right office space, refining the storyboard, redesigning shots, and planning every detail before the camera ever rolled.
Then came the shoot.

More than 30 children. Tight schedules. Limited resources. Safeguarding protocols. Constant problem-solving.
Yet everyone on the team stayed committed to one goal: deliver something we could genuinely be proud of.

When the final film came together, it reminded me why I love filmmaking.
Great visuals don't come from expensive locations or unlimited budgets. They come from preparation, collaboration, and a team that refuses to compromise on quality.
I'm grateful to ActionAid Bangladesh for trusting us, and to every member of the

Khirki Films team who turned a difficult assignment into one of our proudest productions.

Behind the scenes of our latest production for ActionAid Bangladesh. 🎬

Transforming a community learning center in one of Dhaka's underserved neighborhoods into a visually compelling storytelling space was both a creative and meaningful experience.

Working with children required more than great visuals—it demanded responsibility. Throughout the production, our team strictly adhered to ActionAid Bangladesh's safeguarding, child protection, and ethical production policies, ensuring a safe, respectful, and comfortable environment for every participant.

Despite a tight schedule, we successfully completed the production on time while maintaining the quality and attention to detail the project deserved.

A heartfelt thank you to our incredible cast, crew, and everyone involved for making this production possible. Here's to creating stories that inspire positive change.
